The following section describes in detail the capabilities offered by the GSP 1620 for user connectivity, and data transmission.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eIS 637 Mobile Terminated Short Messaging Service (SMS): \u003c\/strong\u003eAnd additional service option allows the integrator to utilize the Short Messaging Service on the GSP 1620. This is a separate “service option” from Packet Data, and may be billed differently by the service provider. Using Mobile Terminated SMS can allow the host application to “send” numeric or alphanumeric messages to the module. These messages are passed transparently out the data or control RS 232 ports to the application.
