This electric windlass makes anchor handling easy.
The chain wildcat is easily controlled by turning the bronze handwheel to engage the friction cone clutch.
The clutch is also used as a brake when dropping dropping the anchor.
The rope gypsy will turn independent of the chain wildcat.
The precision gears operate in an oil bath.
Unit may be operated by an emergency handle in case of power failure.
Shaft and fittings made of stainless steel.
Deck pipe will handle chain and line with thimble.
The Model No. 4 windlass is designed for use with chain, rope or cable on either pleasure craft or work boats.
