  • The Uniden WHAM CU (Wireless Handheld Access Microphone Control Unit) is the essential base station component that brought unprecedented wireless convenience to fixed-mount VHF marine radios.
  • Unlike modern radios with integrated wireless handsets, the WHAM CU was a dedicated "black box" designed to manage the wireless connection and intercom features for the WHAM series of rugged, remote microphones. It is the key to creating a truly mobile communication system on board.

    • Wireless Control Hub: The CU unit serves as the 2.4 GHz wireless link for the WHAM handset (not included). It manages the communication, allowing the user to operate the main VHF radio (including Hi/Lo power selection and channel switching) from anywhere on the vessel.
